I am now sharing those posts with you all.
I hope that through publishing these posts, those of you applying to university either this year, or in the coming years, will be able to see, in the most stressful moments of the process, that you are not alone in how you are feeling, all applicants feel this way and have the same worries as you, and, most importantly, it all works out in the end.
Today I am sharing the first of these posts, written January 2016, which contains many of the fears and questions I had for the year ahead, and my answers to said questions, a term into my degree, and two years into my degree.
Enjoy!

I am so scared.
It hit me, as I start this new year, that I only have 8 months left. 8 months to enjoy my spacious room I’ve had since I was 7, that is soon to be taken over my my younger (almost 13 but already taller than me) brother. 8 months left of A levels. 8 months left of living in the town I’ve been in since birth. 8 months away from living away from home for the longest time ever. I am not ready to go to university!!!! I was talking to my friend already there about it and she didn’t seem too concerned about the whole ordeal, so it can’t be that bad...can it?? I mean I went to her move in day so I vaguely know what happens... Talk of the time though, she’s already been at uni for 4 months!!!! It feels like yesterday we were playing on the fields of first school. TIME EH? I feel like I’m having a Dan Howell level existential crisis haha. Just had my last countdown to Christmas at home. To think that this time next year I will be hopefully settled at university, and even more HOPEFULLY have friends and going through the process of finding a house to rent for second year. Touch wood it all goes smoothly, I’m enjoying my course and the lecturers are nice. I suppose I should, in true online “persona” style make a list of questions for myself a year from now...
1) What university am I at?
2) Did the new course you want to do get up and running in time?
Yes it did! You had to really push for it to be up before freshers week, but they got on it, and you are officially the first person to have ever signed up for the course!
3) How was freshers?
A lot better than you were expecting! Freshers ball was great fun, you met some wonderful people and often look longingly look back on the days at uni when you had no lectures, and nothing but fun haha!
4) Did you ever cut your hair short and loose the weight you wanted to?
You did cut your hair short and donate it. Didn't lose the weight you wanted but you're very much at peace with your appearance, and couldn't be bothered anymore :) You did start Blogilates' PIIT 28 challenge though and are aiming to start that up again in the New Year :)
If you did start it up in the new year, you lasted about a week XD I am planning on doing Cassey's 100 Abs challenge though to get a better core for ballet ...

5) What societies did you join. Please say you signed up for ballet and ballroom :)
I joined Ballroom - where I have met one of my closest friends who I am actually living with next year! - and Ballet (though the uni one has nothing on an adult class you have joined in town!. You also joined Yoga which you go to every so often :)
You competed in a Ballroom competition at BLACKPOOL! And you now do 2 (soon to be 3) ballet classes in town and finally started up pointe work again. Oh and your friend got you to join her church choir - you're singing again!
6)How’s YouTube and blogging going? Is it as great as you have dreamed it would be?
I decided against Youtube because that would mean showing my face along with giving away my location and name... Blogging is great though. It will get minimal response but you don't mind because it's just nice to have a record of your time at uni :-) So maybe not as great as you thought it was going ot be - and you're terrible at keeping it up to date XD
Blogging in sporadic, but great. You may not have the numbers, or become the sensation you hoped you would become, but it's a nice creative outlet to have. You also finally joined YouTube, but were stopped one episode in because your editing software is not compatible with the latest version of Mac (I cry)...
7) Are you in catered accommodation, is the food nice, who do you sit with?
I am in catered. The food is bearable. You sit with your flat and your friends.
Second and Third year cooking isn't as bad as you made out, though ruled by the OCD you have ended up developing. This has meant eating mostly frozen veg, to save the stress of touching it when prepping it (though it does save time), and no meat (though that was always gunna be the case cause meat scares you 😂)...

8) Are you HAPPY?
Very. I haven't laughed so much in ages.
9) Serious Question...How many times have you watched the Abominable Bride since it came out? Do you still think it’s as amazing as I think it is now?
Less times than you expect. Probably 4. Saw it the other day after ages, still a good episode. Currently waiting to see the new Sherlock series. So hyped!
I'd forgotten about that episode. The new series was great though. But in more up-to-date TV news, there is a female Dr Who (Dr Who is finally finding it's feet again btw), and you have discovered amazing shows like Jane the Virgin, Friday Night Dinner, The IT Crowd (bit late to the game, but an AMAZING show) and OUTLANDER!!

10) How did exams go? Please say you put your head down and revised better this year...
You revised a lot better this year. Didn't make up for you performance last year or prepare you for a stupid Biology paper that stopped you getting an A in it. Oh and you definitely should have prepped for Classics better... You got BBC but were let into your first choice uni anyways so oh well :)
Your work ethic has slightly improved since coming to Uni. I mean you got a first in first year, but took too much on in second year so your grade dropped to a high 2:1. I'm not jinxing my final grade, so will stop myself there..
11) Is the new Dr Who companion good (ie Amy and Rory, Donna standard?)
We meet Bill properly later this year. But from the previews I have high hopes :)
I mean Donna is a standard no-one will ever reach. Bill was good but, like Capaldi, was let down by poor scripts. We now have Bradley Walsh. Bradley Walsh (he isn't bad, I just can't see him as anyone but himself 💁♀️) and two other companions. It's getting better 😊

That’s all I can think of right now, in a nut shell, I’m scared petrified, nervous (fill in with a thesaurus), but still excited to decorate my dorm room :) Your dorm room is fab! Your house is a diamond in the ruff and you don't want to leave (even if you never made a cute den out of your bed by hanging netting from the ceiling) 😇
